01. Cellos for the Insatiable
02. Serpent's Embrace
03. Rebirth
04. Light Reborn
05. Faded Years
06. Solitude
07. Limbs of a Stare
08. The Darkness Inside
09. Bitter End
10. Feelings
01. Cellos for the Insatiable
The best opener for the album in our opinion. Great rhythm, catchy riffs but still heavy and fast, with a short melodic middle part.
02. Serpent's Embrace
Our so-called “pop song” as it’s the most melodic song on the album (well except for the ballad). Still, it’s a very dark tune, one of my favourites. Clean vocals are all done by me.
03. Rebirth
The fave-song of our vocalist Frank “Akaias”. We usually have different opinions about our songs, hehe. It’s quite old-school, and should please the more traditional (black) metal fans.
04. Light Reborn
This one’s got a Swedish touch I guess. A really cool synthie-part in the middle, and a nice guitar solo. Eddie and I do share some clean vocals here.
05. Faded Years
My personal fave, as it sums the album up. I wanted this song to be some kind of summary of everything we did so far. It does feature traditional and modern elements, and certain styles that are typical for Agathodaimon. This is the last piece in the puzzle of this album, so to say.
06. Solitude
Our most experimental song so far. No guitars, just keyboards/synths and drums/e-drums plus clean vocals of our guest vocalist Ophelia. She contributed some vocals in the past already, for our second demo, or the new version of “Sacred Divinity” which can be found on the limited first edition of our album, or “Beauty In Darkness Vol.6”-compilation. The song was written by our keyboarder Felix.
07. Limbs of a Stare
Another one of my favourites. No clean vocals, just controlled brutality. Midtempo, partly slow, but very heavy! It’s fun to play this song…
08. The Darkness Inside
Besides Serpent’s Embrace, the most melodic song on the album. The guitar line is very catchy, and I wasn’t sure if the song would be heavy enough, therefore we added some brutal riffs at the end of the song. Again Eddie and I share vocals here.
09. Bitter End
A rather traditional song, which should appeal to the older fans. Death Metal-like sometimes. Not among my personal favourites, but it has some really cool elements in it.
10. Feelings
This song was written by our new bass player Eddie. It differs also from the rest of the album, especially lyric-wise, as it’s straight forward and very easy to understand. We used some samples in here for additional atmosphere. Due to the long acoustic guitar part at the end, we thought it also serves as moddy outro.
